Borobudur Temple in Indonesia

borobudur 1Who does not know Candi Borobudur? This Buddhist temple has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies in the complex. Millions of people longing to visit the buildings included in this World Wonder Heritages. Not surprisingly, since architecturally and functionally, as a place of worship, Borobudur is attractive.

Borobudur was built by King Samaratungga, one of the kings of Old Mataram Kingdom, Sailendra descendants. Based on Kayumwungan inscription, an Indonesian named Hudaya Kandahjaya revealed that Borobudur is a place of worship which was completed May 26 824, nearly a hundred years since the early days was built. The name of Borobudur itself according to some people means a mountain having terraces (budhara), while the other says that Borobudur means monastery on the high places.

Borobudur-shaped building terrace consists of 10 levels. Height 42 meters before being renovated and 34.5 meters after the renovation because the lowest level was used as a drag. Six lowest level and square in the upper three floors and a circular highest level of Buddhist stupa facing to the west. Each level represents the stage of human life. In accordance with of Buddha Mahayana, anyone who wants to reach the level of Buddha must go through each of those life stages. Read more

Beautiful Borobudur In Indonesia

BorobudurWith all of its fascination, Borobudur Temple was witnessing a great celebration of a million of Buddhists’ prayers and lights, along with the other seven offerings placed around the temple – red cloth in the west, green in the north, white in the east and yellow in the south side of the temple.

At the time of living, Buddha Siddhartha Gautama – or named as the Great Holy Shakyamuni Buddha in Buddhism – dedicated an offering and a prayer of aspirations to gain enlightenment, through a bowl of soup. Though it was very simple and meaningless, but it was delivered virtuously and truthfully, at the end, a blessing was bestowed upon all beings.

Buddha Shakyamuni, in “Brahma Sutra Song” which talks about karma – teaches us ten benefits of lights offering: to illuminate the world, gain a perfect sight, own the eyes of god, be in a wisdom of differentiating good and bad, get rid of the inner darkness, understand things wisely, not remain in darkness, gain a great merit of virtue, be born in the universe of god and reach nirvana in no time. The Majestically Of Borobudur Temple

borobudur-templeBorobudur temple located in Indonesia archipelago especially at Magelang, 90-km southeast of Semarang, or 42-km northwest of Yogyakarta, center java province in java island. In Borobudur temple there are thousands of statues regard Java’s jungles from the heights of Borobudur and also the world’s largest Buddhist temple in Indonesia. The architectural style has no equal through out the world. Borobudur is one of the world’s most famous temples; it stands majestically on a hilltop overlooking lush green fields and distant hills. Borobudur is currently defined as World Heritage by UNESCO.

Currently, Borobudur has become tourism destination that attracts many tourists both local and foreign. In addition, Borobudur temple has become a shrine for Buddhist in Indonesia and became the center of the most important annual Buddhist namely Waisak. Each year at the full moon in the month of May (or June on the leap year), the Buddha celebrate waisak at Borobudur temple. Waisak celebrated as birth, death and the moment when Siddharta Gautama obtain the highest wisdom to become the Buddha Shakyamuni. Third event is called  Trisuci Waisak. Waisak ceremony focused on three Buddhist temples by walking from Mendut temple to Pawon temple and ends at Borobudur temple. Read more

Precisely in a few kilometers before Pura Uluwatu direction from Denpasar. This is really because this dream beach beach with cliffs surround-high cliffs that tower and surrounded by coral reefs also the rather large around the beach.

Why this island is called “Dreamland” because the name origin of Dreamland in the past because of this area there was a housing project and tourism object. However, the project is being neglected, and while the villagers Pecatu who used to live as farmers hope the project is finished and they can stubborn other businesses in the field of tourism.
