Travel With Kids on a Budget
September 18, 2009
Of course you can travel just about anywhere with your kids on a budget. Like any travel experience on a budget you need to research and plan well to make the most of your travel dollar. Many places, however, are family or kid friendly and will throw in added extras for the children. So whether you intend traveling at home or abroad, look for places that will cater to your family’s needs.
RV trips are a great way to travel on a budget. In fact, traveling with a car is almost essential for families. It is usually cheaper than buying rail passes or catching taxis everywhere. But more importantly, it gives you that ‘door to door’ freedom that is necessary when traveling with kids.
If you are traveling overseas, have you considered staying in a hostel with your family? This is a much cheaper option than staying in hotels and many hostels are family friendly and have no age limit (except in Bavaria where you can’t be older than twenty six). You can request a room with enough bunk beds to accommodate your family and you can cook your meals in the communal kitchen. Huge savings to be made! Read more
Saving Tips When Traveling in a Group
September 18, 2009
A group traveling is a wanted commodity and because of this you can secure great deals for your group. But as always, beware of any hidden ‘extras’ such as cancellation policies and preferred partners when stepping outside the package. Be prepared to shop around for the best deal.
Here are some tips for the traveling group on a budget:
1. travel insurance can be bought through some companies where savings can be ten percent or more. A group usually consists of four or more. Contact a number of travel insurance agencies and compare quotes.
2. Pack as many people as you can into your hotel room (keeping it legal). The more heads in the room, the higher the number to divide the cost by.
3. Renting a car when traveling in a group of four is usually cheaper than buying travel passes – and more convenient. Read more

Choose Hotels In Chicago
September 15, 2009
I travel here time and time again to catch Cubs games at Wrigley Field and Bulls games at the United Center, take relaxing walks at Lincoln Park, watch cool shows at the Adler Planetarium, and even gaze out at the Willis Tower which, to my surprise, is the tallest building in the United States. I’m also quite fond of animals, which is why I always frequent both the Lincoln Park and Brookfield zoos when I get the chance. No matter what, I always feel right at home in this city.
Of course, one of Chicago’s biggest draws is its hotels, and I have no complaints about any of the ones in which I’ve stayed or visited. For one, I went to Hotel SAX Chicago for a meeting and was wowed by the sheer sophistication found inside. The hotel’s guest rooms and meeting rooms are fitted with state-of-the-art technology, which is always a huge plus whether I’m vacationing or on business. Also, the Crimson Lounge is a great place to grab a cocktail and unwind in the evening, while Xbox game stations and MP3 players in The Studio make for a day of fun and play with friends. Read more
Choosing Summer Vacation
September 15, 2009
Where you be spent time in summer holiday? Going to the beach or going with your family at the village? Summer can be long if you do not plan ahead. Clearly, this summer will be more expensive than the last for travellers. In fact, some experts think that travelling this summer will be pricier than at any time in the past decade since the euro was introduced. About four million Britons go on holiday in the eurozone each year. The prediction is that due to recent changes in the value of the pound versus the euro, trips to eurozone will cost extra. No wonder British holidaymakers are looking at the US this summer, where the pound still buys two dollars. Travel operators are hinting that non-euro destinations are getting a fair share of British tourists this time round compared to last summer.
So for those going to the USA and Canada, the pull factor is that the pound will give more.Tthe exchange rate is good: almost 2 dollars to the pound. So what is the pound likely to buy you in the USA or Canada? The cities are buzzing, there are parties everywhere. You can generally get to a beach for little money, or the mountains; hiking is relatively inexpensive.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of locations have free concerts. Get the local paper; it is a good source of information for cheap entertainment. If you like good food and beautiful surroundings, these two destinations will offer you the best. If you are looking for fun and adventure, then you will need to consult more travel web sites for both last minute cheap flights and hotels and also for less packaged trips. Over-packaged trips can tend to be boring and restrictive if you are adventurous. Read more
Beautiful Borobudur In Indonesia
September 15, 2009
With all of its fascination, Borobudur Temple was witnessing a great celebration of a million of Buddhists’ prayers and lights, along with the other seven offerings placed around the temple – red cloth in the west, green in the north, white in the east and yellow in the south side of the temple.
At the time of living, Buddha Siddhartha Gautama – or named as the Great Holy Shakyamuni Buddha in Buddhism – dedicated an offering and a prayer of aspirations to gain enlightenment, through a bowl of soup. Though it was very simple and meaningless, but it was delivered virtuously and truthfully, at the end, a blessing was bestowed upon all beings.
Buddha Shakyamuni, in “Brahma Sutra Song” which talks about karma – teaches us ten benefits of lights offering: to illuminate the world, gain a perfect sight, own the eyes of god, be in a wisdom of differentiating good and bad, get rid of the inner darkness, understand things wisely, not remain in darkness, gain a great merit of virtue, be born in the universe of god and reach nirvana in no time. About Cu Chi Tunnels of Vietnam
September 10, 2009
Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon. A destination known for its famous war with the Americans throughout the 1960’s until 1975. Learn all about what life was like in the jungle with an interesting visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, located 70 km from downtown.
In the heart of the jungle, 200km of tunnels were well hidden from American soldiers. Originally built to protect the Vietnamese from French air strikes in the lat 1940’s to 1950’s, they were re-used during the 60’s as a staging ground for attacks on American troops.
The land was bombarded with napalm and agent orange in an attempt to wipe out the tunnels. Soldiers knew that they were there, but it was almost impossible to find. The jungle was wiped out and became a waste land, but you would never know it today. Trees and plants have grown back showing just how resilient this earth is.
Some guides are actual former soldiers that acted as translators for the Americans. They are filled with a wealth of information and if you really listen and forget that you are on a kitschy tour exploiting the horrors of war, you can learn a great deal about the tactics used by a people filled with strong will to defeat a more powerful enemy.
